Our “Staycation”
What was supposed to be a week of golf, tennis, date nights and movies while the grandparents babysit turned out to be a week of coughs, colds, and fevers. 5 of 6 Wongs in the household were down for the whole week.
Toby had the worst week with persistent fevers which needed 2 trips to Urgent Care, 1 followup appointment, 1 blood draw, 2 antibiotic pokes, and a chest x-ray. Sheesh…I told him to quit smoking already. 
It’s now Sunday and he looks fully recovered. Back to daycare for him!
Gippy, Boppa, and I had coughs, and a fever was added for me later in the week. The fever has broken now, but I still have a cough. Stuart caught congestion and a runny nose. He was well enough to play tennis though. I think I would have needed an oxygen tank.
So… Stuart and I did miss one MAJOR event that we were soooo looking forward to. This was dinner at the French Laundry with Grace. We had to cancel our resevations. 
. Toby owes us for this… Stuart and I are keeping track of these now since we plan to collect on them later. Tyler owes us a trip to Hawaii for the time we had to cancel when he got bacterial pneumonia.
So that was our wonderful week! Hopefully the next staycation will be better.

Nice day in Silicon Valley
Today is a beautiful Monday…mid 70′s here in Sunnyvale. I’m going to spend some time outside…try to play tennis, hit some golf balls, or just take a walk. The forecast for the rest of the week is rain so I better take advantage of the weather now. The weekend was a nice day as well. Went to the park with Stuart and our 2 boys. Tyler and I saw this interesting looking bird in the middle of Cuesta park. We followed the bird for a while until it flew away. Can anybody identify it? Is it an egret? hmmm….
Also played tennis yesterday with my women’s team…good fun and great weather.
